2020 and the beginning of 2021 have been difficult years for many, including us here at POPOF.
We have particularly missed being able to welcome any international visitors.
But that does not mean that we have been idle.
There is still much to be done!
This photo is of our new tree nursery in Mudaka village; a community that we haven’t worked with before, but one which borders onto the territory of the silverback known as Mpungwe.
Our friends in the U.K. may remember seeing Mpungwe at the start of his habituation to visitors?, when Gordon Buchanan of the BBC was the first white man with silver hair to visit him. (This was a few years ago when he filmed his ‘Gorilla Family & Me’ series.)
The second photo is of Mpungwe who, I am very pleased to say, is not as shy these days.
